Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR)
Do you need to report?
Accurate Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR) lodgement will keep you compliant with your reporting obligations.
If your business makes payments to contractors or subcontractors, you may need to lodge a Taxable Payments Annual Report to the Australian Taxation Office. The ATO uses this data to check that the contractors are reporting their income correctly. It can be difficult to stay up to date with the contractors you use during the year and even harder to get the detail right and to know if you are required to lodge.
Taxable Payments Annual Report started in 2012 covering just the construction industry. Every year new industries are required to report. In the 2023 financial year the list has grown to include:
- Building & construction industry
- Information and technology services
- Courier service
- Cleaning service
- Road freight
- Security, investigation or surveillance
We’ll prepare and lodge an accurate TPAR and we’ll do it on time as there are penalties for late lodgement. We review the invoices you receive each year, check and match contractor ABNs and identify payments that need to be reported.
